CHARACTER SUBMISSION DEADLINE: JULY 18TH, 10:00PM CST. SEND IT ASAP SO WE CAN START SOONER!

Signups closed at fourteen players, and the majority of votes went to the classic mafia theme. Let's make this a great first game!

Our setting is a rural town in the early 20th century. There are a couple of cities a few hours' drive away, so they can buy or sell goods. But when the mafia strikes, the people lock the town up so nobody gets in or out until they find the killers.

    If you signed up
I have added you to co-authors. This week, you need to submit a character. A visual reference is preferred, but plain text description is acceptable. The character need not be human, it can be pretty much anything you want, with these guidelines:
-Original characters. No fan characters or sprites.
-Sentient enough to vote or kill.
-Fit the time period and place. The character's look, speech and attitude should reflect the mafia theme. They can still be stickmen and animals, just make them NOIR stickmen and animals.
-Give them a role. The town has to function somehow, so make sure your character fulfills a need. Some examples: innkeeper, cook, car mechanic, farmer, etc. Don't pick any of the game roles: mafia/criminal, police or doctor.

Post your reference sheet/description as a comic, and call it: "Reference: <Character name> by <Your username>". This makes it effortless to see whose character is whose.
Do this by July 18th 10PM CST. This is your confirmation. If you don't send it in time, you'll be the mafia's first kill. >:)

    NEXT WEEK/WHEN WE START:
I will send the roles and post the intro comic(s).
You can either write or draw, whichever you have time to do. You should participate often; not writing or drawing makes you both suspicious and annoying.
Remember, no deaths or murders happen except the mafia's kills and the votes. Only I draw those. Nobody leaves or enters the town. Other than that, come up with creative ways to enhance the story. Can two characters flirt or fall in love? Can a wager take place? Any prejudices or grudges? This is what adds variety and makes it fun!

Okay, is there any age group the characters need to be in?

We need mostly adults, but we can have one or two kids or teenagers.

Hey, I checked the author's list and I'm not there, even though I said I wanted to sign up.

Was I supposed to PM you?
